The Annual Meeting of the CVHS originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd has been changed. Due to the weather, we will now be meeting on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at 4 pm in the Arkport Village Community Room. In addition to an update of affairs, the election of officers will be on the agenda. Following the meeting, we will share a brief presentation on Sanborn Fire Rating maps and other maps of local interest depicting the Arkport and Hornell area from years past. These maps are like taking a trip back in time to the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s showing Arkport and Hornell from yesteryear!
As an added bonus, the McCarthy House will be open for visitors an hour before and an hour after our annual meeting! So plan on coming a bit early, or staying a bit later so you can see how Dorothy has prepared our exhibits! Much has been done!
Finally, if anyone wants to save postage, bring a check or cash for their 2026 dues!
We are looking forward to a good gathering for the event, and to also share with each other joyous seasons greetings!
Hope to see y’all there!

Now through 12/25/25, any current member can promote membership for a friend or family member. There would be no 2025 dues assessed for the new member, and the new member would receive four 2025 newsletters. If the donor would consider a small donation to CVHS, however, we would gratefully accept!

We have officially begun Phase I of our renovation project. After 150 years in existence, the CVHS now has a home at 5 East Avenue in Arkport! Exciting changes are in process thanks to hundreds of generous donors! Thanks to all for your support!

We are still graciously accepting donations towards Phase II for our renovations and updates! Thank You!
